OVERVIEW: WINE TOUR

The wine tour portion of your Double Adventure will take place after your return from the shark trip.

Your guide will take you to some of the better known wine farms and some of the lesser known farms in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. In the event that you would like to experience some of the other known farms set further North, please speak to us and we will see how we can make that happen.

ITINERARY: SHARK TRIP

BRIEFING:
Upon arrival, you will receive a warm welcome, a comprehensive safety briefing, and an overview of the trip’s itinerary, including weather forecasts and expected procedures.

TRAVEL TIME:
A 30 to 35 – minute boat ride to Seal Island, where you will learn about the island’s wildlife.

DIVE SPOT:
A ten-minute ride to the dive location, chosen based on optimal conditions. The cage will be lowered, and a bait line deployed to attract sharks. Dive times average 20 minutes per guest. Participation in the cage dive is encouraged but not mandatory. Our onboard guides will provide information and answer any questions throughout the trip.

ITINERARY: WINE TOUR

BRIEFING:
Your guide will inform you of the various wine farms available on the list to visit and once at the farms you will be able to speak to the various sommeliers and managers.

TRAVEL TIME:
A 45 – 60 minute drive from your Cape Town accommodations to the Shark Office.

LUNCH:
After the Shark Trip returns you can have a quick meal (at your expense) before leaving for the wine tour portion of your double adventure or you could purchase a basket at one of the farms on the way. The various wine farms are all between Simons Town and Cape Town, ensuring as many stops along the way as possible.

Minimum Participants: None – but in the event the tour is for one participant only there is a surcharge.
Age Restrictions: 18 Years and over

WINE ROUTE

Minimum Participants: Trips require a minimum of 6 guests to proceed. If this number is not met, we will attempt to reschedule you for another date that suits your availability.
Age Restrictions: Children under 8 are not permitted on the boat, and those under 10 are not allowed in the shark cage. The final decision on age suitability for the cage dive rests with the skipper.

PRICE & CANCELLATION POLICY

The price for the Shark Diving & Cape Peninsula Tour is from R62950 per person excluding hotel pick-ups and drop off transfers.

Cancellation Policy:

16-30 days before start date: 50% cancellation fee
15 days before start date: 100% cancellation fee (for groups of more than 4)
Less than 7 days: 75% cancellation fee
48 hours before start date: 100% cancellation fee

In the event of cancellation by ASEC, no cancellation fee will apply, and deposits will be refunded. Please Note: As of October 1, 2023, card transaction fees will not be refunded by the bank. Refunds will be issued minus the card fee.
